You are just desire, not love

Outside Mumbai, in a luxurious farmhouse, inside an opulent room, a man lay on a king-size bed. His sleep was disturbed by a knock at the door.

The man reached his hand to the other side of the bed, searching for someone. His hand landed on the back of a girl who was sleeping next to him. His hand glided over her exposed back.

He was lying face down. His entire back was clearly visible. Half his body was covered by a blanket. Without even opening his eyes, he shook the girl and said, "Go see who’s at the door."

The girl had already woken up. She picked up a towel lying nearby and wrapped it around her chest. Wearing just that towel, she went to the door and opened it. Outside stood a servant, who lowered his gaze upon seeing her and said, "Ma’am, someone has come to meet Sir."

The girl said in a sleepy, lazy voice, "Whoever it is, tell them Sir is sleeping right now. If they can wait until he wakes up, fine; otherwise, they can leave from here."

Saying this, the girl shut the door in the servant’s face and returned to the bed. She looked at the man’s body structure over the blanket, then pulled the blanket down slightly so that his back became visible—on which were tattooed two dragons in 3D. He looked around 25 or 26 years old.

Seeing these tattoos, a devilish smile appeared on the girl’s face. She placed her hand on his back and said, "Good morning, sweetheart."

"Shut up," the man said without opening his eyes. Hearing this, the girl’s face fell, and she stared at him in surprise.

She lay down next to him, running her fingers over his biceps, and said, "What’s this about? How can you talk to me like this, baby? Last night was so wonderful, the time we spent together. And now, as soon as it’s morning, you’re behaving as if you don’t even know me. You know, don’t you, how many loving moments we shared last night?"

The moment he heard the word love, the man’s eyes snapped open. He looked at the girl with his deep brown eyes, which held a unique gleam. He turned onto his side and sat up straight on the bed. He stared at her sharply with those brown eyes.

When the girl’s gaze fell on him, a charming smile appeared on her face. Her hair flowing in the air, her slightly furrowed brows, and the strand of hair falling over her eyes—it was enough to kill anyone.

As soon as the girl’s gaze dropped to his chest, her throat went dry. On the left side of his chest was a butterfly tattoo—not an ordinary butterfly, but a warrior butterfly, looking incredibly strong. On the other side, he had an infinity tattoo.

The girl moved her colorful nails toward the man’s chest, but before she could touch the butterfly, the man caught her hand and pushed her away with a jerk, saying, "There’s no place for words like love in my life. And you don’t deserve to touch this."

Saying this, the man got out of bed and wrapped a towel around his waist. The girl also stood up smiling and came toward him, saying, "How can you say that, Advik? Whatever happened between us last night, that was love. Didn’t you see how lovingly I was screaming your name?"

The man—about 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a broad chest, fair skin, and a killer personality—had a murderous smile appear on his face. He narrowed his eyes and said, "What you call love, sweetheart—I do that kind of ‘love’ on this bed with God knows how many girls every night. Before you, many have come and gone, giving me this kind of love, and after you, many more will come who will love me just like that. So if you girls call all this love, that’s your foolishness. Because for me, there’s no such thing as love. What happened last night wasn’t love—it was just desire."

But the girl immediately said, "But Advik… you told me you would give me something that would make me happy."

"Of course, sweetheart. I will keep my word. You will get exactly that thing which will make you happy. Just check your phone."

As soon as Advik said this, the girl looked surprised and glanced at her clothes lying on the floor. She saw her bag next to her clothes. She quickly went to her bag, opened it, took out her phone, and checked it.

₹1,00,000 had just been transferred into her bank account. Seeing this amount, her eyes widened in shock, and a glow of happiness appeared on her face.

Advik came in front of her, folded his arms, and said, "Didn’t I tell you? I’d give you something that would make you happy."

The girl’s glow doubled. She quickly put her phone in her purse and came close to Advik, saying, "Yes, Advik, you’re right. Seeing this would make anyone’s face light up. Come on, let me relieve some of your stress."

But Advik removed her hands from around his neck and looked at her arrogantly, saying, "Advik Merchant doesn’t use something twice that’s already been used once. Understand… And anyway, you don’t have the quality that could make me happy again after pleasing me once. Besides, there’s no girl in this world who can truly make Advik Merchant happy."

But the girl placed her colorful nails on Advik’s chest and said, "Just give me a chance, and see—maybe I’ll do what no one else could."

A deep smile appeared on Advik’s face, and he laughed, saying, "That can never happen. If it could, your magic would have worked on me last night itself."

The girl’s face fell. She quickly put on her clothes, but before she could leave, Advik also dressed and came out of the closet. The girl picked up her purse and said, "Your servant said someone has come to meet you."

Advik switched on his phone and said, "Yes, I know. My fiancée has arrived—to meet me."
