Farmhouse...
Advik and the girl he had spent the night with emerged from their room. They headed straight down the stairs toward the hall. As he descended, Advik’s gaze fell upon his fiancee, Mihika, sitting in the hall. Rage was clearly etched across her face. Seeing her like that, a lopsided smirk played on Advik’s lips.
Mihika Khanna—Advik's fiancee. But only in the eyes of the world. A supermodel and a top influencer, she wore the arrogance of wealth on her face and lived a luxury lifestyle from head to toe. However, the biggest mistake of Mihika’s life was being Advik Merchant’s fiancee. For the time being, she was surviving on Advik’s crumbs.
Advik walked straight into the hall with the girl. Upon seeing Advik, Mihika stood up. The girl was feeling a bit uncomfortable between the two of them. Consequently, she tried to slip away from behind Advik, but in the next moment, Advik grabbed her hand. Glaring at her, he said, “Where are you going? Did I tell you to leave?”
The girl’s eyes widened instantly. Startled, she looked first at Advik and then at Mihika, who was staring at Advik with eyes full of rage.
“I... I mean, I should go and leave you two alone...” the girl said, looking at Mihika. A devilish smile appeared on Advik’s face.
Advik said, “There’s no need for you to leave us alone. Because in private with her, I won’t do anything that I haven’t already done with you.”
Hearing Advik’s words, the color drained from the girl’s face. she looked at Advik and Mihika in shock, but Mihika’s face remained void of expression. It seemed as if witnessing this was nothing new for her.
Advik released the girl’s hand and told her, “Fine, if you must go, the car is waiting outside and the driver is there. Tell him where you want to go; he’ll drop you off.”
The girl nodded quickly and hurried away the very next moment. Once she was gone, Advik tucked both hands into his pant pockets and walked toward Mihika with style. “Are you so desperate to meet me that you came all the way to the farmhouse?”
“I had to come. You see, your actions are such that they force me to meet you,” Mihika said, looking at him angrily.
Advik’s smile deepened, and he said with a crooked smirk, “So, you found out. That’s why you’re so flustered.”
“How dare you, Advik? How dare you have my entry banned from the club? Do you have any idea how much I was humiliated in front of my friends? I couldn’t enter the club with them because you forbade it. They were all making fun of me!” Mihika screamed at Advik in a rage.
But Mihika’s words had no effect on Advik. On the contrary, he walked up to her, laughing, and said, “You are amazing, sweetheart. Your fiance is caught at a farmhouse with another girl, and you’re questioning him about why he banned your entry to a club. I thought you’d fight with me, argue, and ask questions like a typical girlfriend. But you don’t care about me at all.”
Mihika crossed her arms angrily and said, “Do you think I came all this way to ask who you were spending your colorful nights with? Oh please, I don’t do this 'Sati-Savitri' type talk. It’s your life; you can do whatever you want. And perhaps that was the first condition of our relationship—that we wouldn’t interfere in each other's lives.
Whether you spend your nights with a girl or a boy, I don’t give a damn. But I wanted to spend my night partying at a club, which didn't happen because of you. So, quietly get my entry to Club Marina reopened, or else...”
“Or else what will you do, sweetheart?” Advik said, looking at Mihika with a threatening tone. A slanted smile appeared on Mihika's face. She stepped closer to Advik and, fiddling with the button of his coat, said, “You won’t do that, will you? I know you’ll have my entry to Club Marina opened tonight, because if you don’t, you know what I’m capable of.”
The next instant, Advik grabbed Mihika’s hair in his fist and stared at her in fury. Seeing him so angry, an evil smile appeared on Mihika’s face. She said mockingly, “It’s this style of yours that kills me—when you can’t do anything even if you want to.”
Grinding his teeth in rage, Advik said, “Stay within your limits, Mihika. Taking me on isn't that easy. You don’t have the status to go against me. You’re forgetting why you’re even standing here. So, don’t even think about threatening me after today. Otherwise, these fluttering wings of yours... it won’t take me a minute to clip them.”
Saying this, Advik threw Mihika onto the sofa and stormed out of the farmhouse. He got into his car and drove off toward the office himself. He was driving very recklessly.
His mood had been completely ruined early in the morning. His phone, kept on the dashboard, began to ring. He looked at the number flashing on the screen, closed his eyes tightly, and disconnected the call.
The phone rang once more. Advik was about to cut the call again, but this time the number was different. Seeing that number, Advik picked up the phone, put it to his ear, and said, “What is it?”
But from the other side, he heard a familiar and powerful voice. “Do you not even have time to talk to your father, Advik? Has it come to the point where I have to use someone else’s number just to speak with you?”
Hearing Naksh’s voice, Advik’s hands tightened on the steering wheel. He said through gritted teeth, “Mr. Merchant, I don’t think there is anything left for us to talk about. So, don't take this as a request—I do not like anyone interfering in my life.”
But before Advik could hang up, Naksh said, “Next week is Kashish’s death anniversary. You are coming home, aren’t you?”
