Everything was left behind.

Harshita woke from her sleep and looked at the man sleeping beside her. She was lying in his arms, wrapped in his embrace. His face looked so calm. He didn’t look anything like the man she had seen last night. This man looked completely different from the one she met yesterday.

His tattoos were so unique and different, as if they were trying to tell a story. Harshita wanted to touch him, feel him, kiss him.

She remembered everything that happened last night… the way he kissed her, touched her.

Harshita felt like she could stay in his arms forever. She could sleep peacefully against his chest.

She felt very safe in his embrace. He looked so peaceful, but Harshita controlled herself from touching his face. She didn’t want to wake him up.

A line of pain appeared on Harshita’s face. No matter how much she wanted to, she couldn’t do this. She shouldn’t have come here in the first place. 🥺

Looking at Dastaan with sadness in her eyes, Harshita thought to herself…

“I can’t do this. I promised myself that I would never let anyone enter my heart. No one can break the strong walls I’ve built around it. No one.

You can’t make me weak. I can’t trust anyone. I can’t show my vulnerable side to anyone.”

There was a strange restlessness in Harshita’s eyes as she looked at Dastaan and said softly,

“You can become trouble for me, Dastaan Ahuja.

You’re making me feel things I’ve never felt before. You’re trying to break these walls. You’ll melt my stone heart… and I can’t let that happen. 🤨

It’s better if we go our separate ways and never meet again. I just hope I won’t regret what I did last night.”

As she got out of bed, she gently removed his hand from around her waist. Suddenly, a wave of warmth spread across her face, making her blush.

She picked up her clothes scattered on the floor and quickly got dressed. Harshita made sure not to make any noise that could wake him up.

Harshita didn’t want to have any awkward conversation with Dastaan. She didn’t even know what people were supposed to say after a one-night stand.

While checking her phone, she grabbed her clutch. It was still 4 in the morning.

Harshita looked at Dastaan one last time. He was still sleeping peacefully.

She knew leaving like this wasn’t right, but she had to go because she didn’t want to get attached to anyone.

Harshita was completely sure that for him too, this was just one night. Maybe by morning Dastaan wouldn’t even care about her. In a few days, he would probably forget her completely.

“Goodbye, Dastaan… I hope our paths never cross again.”

Harshita whispered in her mind while looking at him.

As she walked toward the door, she slowly opened it.

It felt as if she was stealing something by leaving like this.

She quietly left the farmhouse and, as soon as she stepped outside, she saw two huge bodybuilder-like guards standing at the entrance.

But they didn’t stop her. They simply looked her up and down. One of them had been driving Dastaan’s car last night.

Maybe he recognized her. Or maybe this wasn’t anything new for them.

Perhaps he had seen many women leaving like this before.

Harshita had already texted Bobby, and he arrived with the car.

She sat inside, and Bobby started driving toward her house. Within a short time, Harshita reached home.

As soon as she arrived, she thanked Bobby and told him to stay ready.

She entered her bedroom and fell onto the bed with her arms and legs spread out. Her whole body ached. She was exhausted.

She just wanted to sleep for a while… to rest. But she couldn’t because her flight to Bangalore was in just a few hours. She had to get ready.

Lazily, she walked toward the bathroom. Standing under the shower, she removed her clothes and turned on the water. The warm water brought her a lot of comfort.

After showering, Harshita wrapped a towel around herself and walked toward the closet.

Looking at herself in the mirror, she noticed the marks left behind by the emotional night she had spent with Dastaan.

There were red and purple marks on her neck, shoulders, and chest. Harshita gently touched them while thinking about him.

Her face turned red. A shy smile appeared on her lips. Maybe she didn’t regret last night after all.

Harshita wore comfortable clothes and packed her bag.

After getting ready, she left for the airport with Bobby.

But memories of last night kept replaying in her mind, and she couldn’t focus on anything else.

What would his reaction be when he woke up and didn’t find me beside him? Would he care? Or would he just ignore it? Would it even matter to him?

“Oh God… why am I thinking so much about him? Anyway, after waking up he would have probably asked me to leave. It’s not like he wanted to build a home with me.

I left before he could even say it.

I made things easier for him. That’s what a one-night stand means.”

“Are you okay, ma’am?”

Bobby’s voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She hadn’t even realized how long she had been thinking about Dastaan.

Harshita shook her head lightly and said to herself,

“I have to forget everything about last night. It was just one night, and it ended there. I don’t want anyone in my life. I’m meant to stay alone forever.”

They stopped in front of the airport, completed all the formalities, and finally she boarded her flight to Bangalore.
